Who we are and what this covers
Nuvo Investments Inc. ("Payvello," "we," "us," or "our") provides the Payvello website and software for merchants to manage their stores, teams, inventory, customer relationships, contracts and payments. This Privacy Policy covers payvello.com, app.payvello.com, our account services and related support and communications.
We determine how information is used for our own website, business contacts, account administration, platform billing and security. When a merchant places its customers’ or employees’ records in Payvello, we generally process those records on that merchant’s behalf and according to its authorized instructions. The merchant is responsible for its own privacy notices and its decisions about customer transactions and employee access.
If you purchased a phone or have a payment plan with a store: contact that store first about your purchase, contract, payment schedule or customer records. You may also contact us at jcha1229@gmail.com for help identifying the appropriate contact or addressing information we control.
Information we collect
The information involved depends on whether you visit our website, request a demo, use a merchant account, or interact with a store using Payvello.
- Business inquiries: your name, email, business or store name, number of locations, optional phone number, contact preferences and messages. We also retain submission time, consent, request identifiers and follow-up status.
- Account and team information: names, usernames, email addresses or phone numbers, profile information, authentication and session records, business and store assignments, permissions and account status. Available sign-in methods may include a password, a verification code or Google through Clerk.
- Merchant-managed records: customer contact and address details, records or documents supplied for a transaction, agreements and signatures, inventory and device identifiers such as an IMEI or serial number, payment schedules, balances, receipts, payment outcomes and related activity. Merchants should provide only information necessary for their authorized use of the service.
- Payment information: payment processors handle payment credentials. Payvello may receive processor identifiers, payment tokens, card brand and last four digits, amounts, transaction status, refunds and disputes. Payvello’s application database does not store full payment-card numbers or card security codes.
- Communications and support: messages, support requests, and, where communication features are enabled, phone numbers, message content, delivery information and call activity metadata associated with the merchant’s communications.
- Technical information: IP address, browser and device information, request times, pages or endpoints requested, errors and security or activity logs generated when you use our services.
We receive information directly from you, from authorized merchant users, from your browser or device, and from providers that support enabled features, such as authentication, payments and communications.
Device-management integrations are in development. If offered, their availability, supported device information and controls will be explained before activation. This policy does not authorize access to a customer’s personal apps, messages, photos or precise location.
Google sign-in information
If you choose Google sign-in, Google and our authentication provider, Clerk, provide basic identity information such as your Google account identifier, name, email address and profile picture, when available. The sign-in permissions are limited to basic identity, email and profile information. We do not request your Google password or access to Gmail messages, Google Drive files, calendars or contacts through this sign-in integration.
We use this information to authenticate you, display your account profile, secure your account and connect your sign-in to an authorized Payvello account. Google sign-in alone does not grant access to a merchant’s stores or customer records. Basic profile information and account identifiers may be retained by Clerk and Payvello for those purposes and shared only as described in this policy.
Payvello’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or use it to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
You can review or revoke Payvello’s Google connection in your Google Account connections. To request deletion of Google-derived information held by Payvello, email jcha1229@gmail.com. Revoking a connection may prevent that sign-in method from working; it does not automatically delete your Payvello account or transaction records that must be retained for another lawful purpose.
How we use information
- Respond to inquiries, arrange demos and provide support.
- Create and administer accounts, authenticate users and enforce store and team permissions.
- Provide merchant-requested inventory, contract, payment, reporting and communication functions.
- Process platform billing and reconcile payments through payment providers.
- Maintain and improve reliability, investigate errors, prevent fraud or misuse and protect accounts and records.
- Send necessary service notices and, where permitted and consistent with your choices, relevant business updates.
- Meet legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce applicable agreements.
We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use merchant customer records to advertise unrelated products to those customers.
Retention and deletion
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the requested services and for the purposes in this policy. The period depends on the information, the relationship with you or your merchant, applicable recordkeeping obligations, security needs and any dispute or legal hold.
Demo and inquiry information is retained while handling the request and reasonable follow-up. Account records are retained while needed to administer and secure the account. Merchant transaction records may need to remain available for contract administration, accounting, payment disputes or legal requirements, including after an account closes.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. Copies in backups may remain until the applicable backup cycle expires and are subject to access restrictions. Deleting a sign-in profile does not necessarily remove records a merchant or payment provider must lawfully retain.
Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including authentication, access controls and encrypted network connections. Access is limited to authorized people and providers with a business need. No internet service or security measure can guarantee complete protection.
Our services are operated for U.S. merchants. Information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our providers or authorized personnel work. Those countries may have different privacy laws. Where applicable, we use the safeguards required by law for international transfers.
Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on your location, the context of processing and the law that applies, you may have rights to confirm whether we process your information; access, correct or delete it; receive a portable copy; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; or opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising or profiling with legally significant effects. We do not currently sell personal information, conduct targeted advertising using personal information, or make merchants’ credit-approval decisions for them.
To make a request, email jcha1229@gmail.com with the subject “Payvello privacy request.” Describe the request and your relationship to Payvello or the relevant store. You do not need to create an account. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent’s authority. Please do not send passwords, full card numbers or sensitive identity documents in your initial email.
We will respond within the period required by applicable law and explain any permitted extension or limitation. Where we process records on behalf of a merchant, we will assist or direct the request to that merchant as appropriate. Some information may be retained where an exception applies. We do not discriminate against people for exercising applicable privacy rights.
If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying with the subject “Privacy appeal.” We will review the decision and explain the outcome and any available complaint route within the legally required period. You may also contact your state attorney general or other applicable privacy regulator.
Children’s information
Payvello is business software intended for adult merchant users, not a service directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action. Merchants must follow applicable laws when collecting their customers’ information.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services or obligations change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice or obtain consent where required for a material change.
